The house is located on a quiet street off North Capitol Street, and has easy access to Capitol Hill, Union Station, Bloomingdale/Shaw, and the rest of downtown DC, as well as to some of the hip places around town (Shaw, U St., Park View/Petworth, Brookland, NoMa, Union Market).
THE AREA:
I live in a small neighborhood called Stronghold, right across from Bloomingdale. Everyone is friendly and you'll get to know all your neighbors.
There is always ample street parking. It is near bus lines: 80, H1, H2, H3, H4, and D8, and a short bike ride to all the hot spots in the city! You will be a 20 minute walk to the following Metro stations: Shaw (Green and Yellow Line), NoMa (Red), Brookland (Red), and Rhode Island Ave (Red). The house is close to Union Station, Capitol Hill, and all other quadrants of DC such as Navy Yard, the Wharf, and rest of SE/SW DC. The house is a short distance from restaurants and nightlife on U Street, Shaw, NoMA, 14th Street, Columbia Heights, Petworth, Union Market, Brookland, and other fun neighborhoods.
YOU:
Positive, tidy, with previous experience in a shared living environment (though the studio will be yours), employed, and financially stable. No smokers or partiers, please.
LEASE TERM:
I am open to a range of lease terms from 3-months to 6-months or more. You will need pass a basic background and credit check, and provide one month's security deposit.
ME:
I am a professional in my 30s who works in tech. I lived in DC since 2010 and have loved watching the city change and grow. I am low key when home (cook, read, attempt home improvement), but enjoy socializing with roommates and having people over occasionally. I live upstairs with one border collie pup (non-barker).
THE STUDIO:
The studio is in the basement, and is furnished with a queen pillow top mattress and a West Elm bedframe, a Room + Board couch, coffee table, rug, chairs, and a place to hang your clothes. It has a full kitchen (oven, stove, microwave, fridge), full-size W/D, and full bathroom. There is a built-in sound system and a projector that is hooked up with Apple TV that you can use to stream movies/shows/etc. (Despite the pictures, there are actual blinds installed now.)

Brand new *quiet* refrigerator
