4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a small town school with huge inner-city school problems. There is a very big problem with bullying and the district's approach to their issues is blanket punishment. My honor roll and national honor society students often came home from school in tears over punishments they were dealt because of their peers. There is a big communication problem with administration and parents when it comes to students. There has been more than one occasion when the school has had parents sign letters requesting parents to pick up students after extracurricular activities and field trips to not find their children on campus because they were sent home on a bus without notification. Staff does not respond to letters and emails and do not intervene when students are having issues with peers until it gets too far and all students are punished.
