My experience has been that all sub populations are valued and the primary concern is to teach and graduate literate students. Community is key.
Posted by a teacher on 11/18/2015I work in a place with several parents and we were shocked to see Jacksonville High School had a couple of people who rated it poorly. We are all happy with the school and proud that are kids go to school there.

Posted by a parent on 3/24/2014Jacksonville high school cares more about what their students are wearing than what their learning. The lunches are horrible and they constantly serve the something. Also the school has rodents.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in K. First, the bus system is terrible. They lost my 5 yr old twice and then blamed her. Her teacher only cares about all the students being sheep and learning to conform to her teaching rather than trying to reach the students in how they learn. She has no desire to motivate the students and no idea how to redirect the lively ones. After complaining to the teacher, the counselor and the asst principle I can still get nothing done to help my daughter. The asst principle dropped the ball, got called on it and passed it off to the counselor who also dropped the ball and did nothing. So even though I started trying to get something done in Nov, mid April we've still got nothing in place to help my kid. They could care less.Other Review10y ago - West Side Elementary School
