Room Description

Seeking a roommate to share a 3 bedroom, 1 bath historic home in the Garfield neighborhood with just me and my small dog. There are two options for rent: renting a bedroom in the house for $900/month, or for $1150/mo we can share the third bedroom as an office space. Room has a private entrance. House has loads of historic charm and is well-located, it is bikeable to Roosevelt Row. The landlord is attentive and friendly. Yard is well-landscaped with lots of trees and shade as well as a firepit. Wood floors, natural light. Room can be furnished or unfurnished.

Lease renews 8/31/2026, but I plan to renew. Landlord does not raise rent on renewals as a policy. Pets must be approved by both landlord and current tenant (needs to live well with dog already on property). Property is non-smoking. Landscaping is taken care of by landlord.

    "There is a lot of history and some charm, however with the freeways close by and the amount of alley ways that are present in about 95% of the properties; this area gets a lot of homeless, dumpster divers, gang bangers and scouts on the look out for burgarlizing homes. we have to be very vigilant when it comes to our exterior and the back of our home due to very unsafe and unpatroled alley ways."
