9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe incompetence of the school is the reason I'm writing this complaint. The principal treats and talks down to parents as if they are students themselves. Unprofessional staff and teachers. Don't take accountability and will accuse you of being incompetent where they failed my child. The principal stated we are not certified babysitters yet everyday they keep my kid in the office and will not look into other option til it's too late. This district is racist and will not tolerate black or brown students if they have say ADD or ADHD. 10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile this is overall a really good school the principal can be very dismissive towards concerns that are raised by parents, especially working-class parents of color. I first thought it was because I was not as involved in the school, so I made an effort to do more but that made very little difference. After 8 years of consistent experience, I feel very disempowered to change this circumstance and/or address it directly with her without it having a negative effect on my child. Although I recommend the school, in a state that has the worst public schools in the country, it's important to know what one may be walking into.Parent Review5mo ago
