Parent Review4mo ago23 Reviews - Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’re having a problem with a teacher then contacting a dealing with the principal is just as bad! Giving parents 15 minutes to drop off children with all the traffic is crazy they also take up precious learning time by feeding the children in the classroom. 25+kids to a classroom.Parent Review6mo ago12 Reviews - Whittier Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile this is overall a really good school the principal can be very dismissive towards concerns that are raised by parents, especially working-class parents of color. I first thought it was because I was not as involved in the school, so I made an effort to do more but that made very little difference. After 8 years of consistent experience, I feel very disempowered to change this circumstance and/or address it directly with her without it having a negative effect on my child. Although I recommend the school, in a state that has the worst public schools in the country, it's important to know what one may be walking into.Parent Review9mo ago28 Reviews - St Agnes Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCompletely horrible school, I am so frustrated with how this school condones to bullying and how they have favoritism and will let certain things slide. I would not send my children here.Parent Review5y ago7 Reviews - Faith North Early Childhood Learning Center

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family's experience with ASU Preparatory at Pilgrim Rest was very disappointing. One of my biggest concerns was academics. I was not satisfied with my child's academic progress, and I felt their test scores did not reflect the level of education I expected. Despite raising concerns, I did not feel there was an effective plan to address the learning gaps, which ultimately led us to seek outside tutoring.I was also concerned about the school environment. From my perspective, there were topics related to LGBTQ+ issues that I did not feel were age-appropriate or aligned with what I wanted for my child. I believe parents should ask detailed questions about the curriculum, school culture, and how these topics are discussed so they can determine whether the school is a good fit for their family. When I raised my concerns with school leadership, I left feeling that my concerns were not adequately addressed. As a result, I made the difficult decision to withdraw my child and pursue a different educational path.Every family's experience may be different, but I encourage parents to research the school's academic performance, ask about student test results and academic support, and visit the campus before making a decision.Parent Review2mo ago2 Reviews
