8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a younger friend that goes to this school, and they are constantly miserable. I've never been to the school myself, but from what they tell me, they're are teased, taunted and "barked" at by the students on the daily. Their teacher is aware of this, and does nothing. They have also been yelled at by teachers. A good school environment IS NOT supposed to be like this. Something needs to change in terms of how things such as bullying are handled.Parent Review1y ago - Williamston Explorer Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience has not been great for my child. Very cliquey environment.Have not had a good experience with the counselors. It was my child's first day in a new state and in a new high school and the counselor we dealt with was terrible. She was unwelcoming and we had no choice with his classes. Also, I thought it was strange that gym was only required for 1 semester for the entire 4 years!Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 151 E Grand River Ave #2.

What Locals Say about Williamston

"I’m not really sure of events. I do know that when it is the Fourth of July there is a little hill we can go to or a small spot near the doctors office to watch the fire works which is pretty cool! The farmers market is small but it is very fun!"

"My neighborhood is a great place to be for young families with kids. It’s well monitored both internally and by the police and sidewalks are well lit so I feel very safe here and safe for my kids to be out and about in the neighborhood. Neighbors are very friendly and helpful as well. Overall, it’s a great place to be! "

"A bedroom community without much choice in public transportation. We have some great local eateries and a small community theater. "

"A pleasant reasonably prosperous small town combining a rural feel with some sophistication (fine restaurants, its own theater, good golf course etc) and close to all the sports, cultural and educational opportunities of Michigan State University. The schools are above average. I'm a long time resident."

"We have lived in the Knolls of Plymouth Landing since 2004. Beautiful neighborhood. I bought my home because it was one of the best built homes I'd ever seen. Craftsmanship was outstanding. Seven years later, still outstanding. Close to the expressway, but not too close. Close to anything you may be interested in. We are 15 minutes from Okemos and 20 minutes from Wharton Center."

"Williamston is "small town" in many ways. Lots of local businesses, quiet evenings, and a real community feel for those who want it. It's still close enough to MSU, East Lansing and Lansing to have urban vibe and cultural access. Between those and Williamston, Okemos provides a mall, big box stores, and corporate dining places as well as some unique shops and restaurants, only 10 minutes from home. An easy commute from Lansing and the area, and separate enough to be its own place, Williamston is a great place to live."
