"Dogs are always welcomed anywhere, they even have a dog park that your dog would love, people around here are very friendly!! "
  • Emily22298
"I’m not really sure of events. I do know that when it is the Fourth of July there is a little hill we can go to or a small spot near the doctors office to watch the fire works which is pretty cool! The farmers market is small but it is very fun!"
  • Steve H
"My neighborhood is a great place to be for young families with kids. It’s well monitored both internally and by the police and sidewalks are well lit so I feel very safe here and safe for my kids to be out and about in the neighborhood. Neighbors are very friendly and helpful as well. Overall, it’s a great place to be! "
  • Adp3d

  • Eric D. D.

"I live in Williamston and the community is very kind. WHS is in the top 3% of all US high schools, as well as on the AP honor roll. If you have kids you should definately consider moving to Williamston. There is a small, family owned movie theater in town called The Sun Theatre, and it has low prices and nice people. The McCormick park is very kid friendly, with a playground, toddler area, pavillions, bike/walking path, river, big grassy area, band shell, and wooden sculptures. Overall I would rate Williamston a 10/10."

"A pleasant reasonably prosperous small town combining a rural feel with some sophistication (fine restaurants, its own theater, good golf course etc) and close to all the sports, cultural and educational opportunities of Michigan State University. The schools are above average. I'm a long time resident."
  • GlassPainter
"Well built mainly ranch-style homes built beginning in the 1960s through the 1990s. Quiet, friendly neighborhood with easy access to Gr. River Ave. and I96. Large lots in Glen Dor Estates (cul de sacs)."
  • CChristesen
"We have lived in the Knolls of Plymouth Landing since 2004. Beautiful neighborhood. I bought my home because it was one of the best built homes I'd ever seen. Craftsmanship was outstanding. Seven years later, still outstanding. Close to the expressway, but not too close. Close to anything you may be interested in. We are 15 minutes from Okemos and 20 minutes from Wharton Center."
  • Briantoo
"Williamston is "small town" in many ways. Lots of local businesses, quiet evenings, and a real community feel for those who want it. It's still close enough to MSU, East Lansing and Lansing to have urban vibe and cultural access. Between those and Williamston, Okemos provides a mall, big box stores, and corporate dining places as well as some unique shops and restaurants, only 10 minutes from home. An easy commute from Lansing and the area, and separate enough to be its own place, Williamston is a great place to live."
