"Most streets are shaded for long walks. Lots of small parks nearby. Most dogs walking around are friendly or not friendly dogs are easily avoided "

"Capitol Hill is a nice neighborhood. very walkable with lots of public transit. I love being able to walk out and go to a restaurant without getting in a car. as long as if you stay away from Broadway or Pike pine, you can find a nice quiet spot"

"Most of the neighborhoods on the north side are safe, quiet, & well maintained. I would steer clear of renting or purchasing in any areas south of Cap Hill (minus Leschi, which is nice)."

"I love the 100-year-old houses with established gardens. Everyone here is friendly and the neighborhood feels safe and laid back. There are great restaurants within walking distance and everything you need is nearby. "

"Walk from capitol hill downtown on pine/pike or bus downtown, normally the 2 madison or the 10/11. I only take lightrail to airport"

"It’s a very community oriented area. There’s LOTS of trick or treating in the area. So big that on 16th and 17th Ave the streets are blocked of for trick or treating. The houses are very festive and fun!"

"I can’t really say much for parents. I don’t have kids and I rarely see families around here, but there are a few here and there. Absolutely none in my apartment building. I don’t even know where the schools are around here, besides the community college lol. Honestly, I would move out of Capitol Hill if I wanted to raise a family. "

"I work here during the night and most of the time the neighborhood is quiet. There’s a park outside the area where some homeless people sleep but it’s not always occupied with homeless people."
