Completely reimagined by the famed Steven Harris Architect and Regele Builders, Inc., 141 East 18th Street is a rare Gramercy Park residence that combines the perfect blend of traditional elements and carefully considered contemporary updates and finishes throughout.
No detail was overlooked in the meticulous renovation of 141 East 18th Street. Configured as an upper quadruplex over a private one-bedroom apartment in the English Basement, this home boasts a grand stoop entry, excellent light, oversized windows, grand ceiling heights, and 8 air conditioning zones as well as a 9th unit in the A/V closet, creating a truly one-of-a-kind space.
The classic parlor floor offers approximately 12-foot-tall ceilings and provides the ideal layout for welcoming guests while graciously sized windows allow light to flood the home. In the rear sits the beautifully outfitted Eggersmann modern German kitchen, featuring luxurious finishes and high-end appliances including a commercial-grade stove and exhaust. This magnificent space has direct access to the rear deck and overlooks the private garden with a hand-selected specimen Katsura tree. A private one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette and a washer and dryer sits below in the English Basement, perfect for hosting a guest or functioning as a home office.
A beautiful sweeping staircase with a custom banister and spindles is perfectly situated in the center of the home. Above on the third level sits the perfect entertaining space; a living room and den/study, each with a gas fireplace, separated by a center gallery. The full-floor primary suite features a center entry with custom cerused oak millwork dressing closets throughout, a luxurious bathroom in the front with Corian, Marble, and Caesarstone natural crystals in the countertops and an oversized shower for two, and sleeping quarters in the rear.
The fifth floor has two sizeable bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms and ample closet space. The final floor features the glass skylight bulkhead to the private roof with open views of the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the New York Life Building, and beyond.
141 East 18th Street is a stunning townhouse with lovely wrought-iron work and a charming forecourt. Positioned on a tree-lined townhouse block in desirable Gramercy Park, the building is a short distance from countless restaurants, shops, and nightlife venues. The newly designed Stuyvesant Square Park, famed Irving Place, Gramercy Park, and nearby Union Square provide open space and recreation on the surrounding blocks.
House will be sold fully furnished with high-quality pieces.

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a good school because my child is making academic progress, is excited about learning, and enjoys the school community. The class sizes are larger than the ideal size. Yet, even with the larger class sizes, the teachers meet the challenges and they are experienced and qualified. The parent involvement is great. Since the school and the parents work together, it benefits the children. (I hope this year goes well.)Parent Review7mo ago - Jhs 104 Simon Baruch

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a guardian of a current student at this school, this student is being bullied and none of the teachers are doing anything about it. It was already pretty bad that the teachers aren't doing anything about the bullying, but it is worse that the teachers did not let this student tell their family members about it because they say that it will make it a bigger deal. It is not alright for a teacher to tell their student to not call their parent because of it will ruin their school reputation. The teachers dealing with this problem says that they will be able to fix the problem but they didn't do anything. Now this student is afraid to go to school because the bullies threathens to jump this student and call their friends over to also bully and join in. Also, the bullies didn't get in trouble because the teacher said that he did not see it happen. This isn't the first time this student was bullied but the first time, there was at least one teacher that tried to solve the problem but she left so now this student is having trouble solving this new problem. As for learning, teaching, and other parts of reviewing a school, if students don't feel safe then they obviously would not feel motivated or excited about learning and other activities.Parent Review1y ago - Gramercy Arts High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Gramercy last year 2015-16 as a freshman. Transitioning from middle school to high school was hard due to the location in the beginning but months in I realized union square is actually not that bad after school there's so much to do ...so many restaurants & stores or you could get involved in one of the sports or clubs afterschool. personally to me i think some of the teachers are good & be involved with the students alot during class or even lunch for tutoring. I transferred out of Gramercy this summer and went to a school in brooklyn , early September i didnt like the school, just how they taught & the curriculum they taught so I transferred back to Gramercy. you may ask why , I transferred back because Gramercy has good AP Classes , there isnt strong/bad female drama (Im A Female), the teachers make class fun but educational and plus i was on the basketball varsity team, i didn't want to leave my Irving Bulldogs Family .lolStudent Review7y ago - Check out schools near 141 E 18th St.
