About this House

Situated away from the street and at the end of a landscaped path, 1 year old new cottage is a private oasis in the city. As you cross the threshold, the soaring cathedral ceiling will take your breath away. When you bring your gaze back down, you'll notice the nice open plan, with woodgrain laminate flooring, quartz countertops, premium tile kitchen backsplash and thoughtful storage throughout. Small luxuries, like a dishwasher, laundry and air-conditioning, make this home stand out. Two well-sized bedrooms are situated off a short hall for privacy. They share a bathroom with two sinks and a tiled tub/shower.

This home has a fully landscaped private yard with a secure fence to keep your four-footed pal safe. The patio is the perfect place to host a BBQ or soak in the sun during a morning meditation. A raised garden bed (with automatic irrigation) is filled with fresh soil and awaiting your green thumb. To support sustainable living, a bike storage shed is provided. There is no off-street parking for vehicles.

The Property
The properties at Fifth & Central are anchored by a Victorian Queen Anne triplex originally built in 1886 and completely renovated in 2023. Three apartments share this lovely building: one on the upper level and two at ground level. Each has a private outdoor space with landscaping. Behind the Victorian is a new standalone cottage with a fenced yard, providing privacy on all 4 sides.

At Fifth & Central, pets are allowed with landlord approval and an additional security deposit. Tenants pay all utilities except garbage. Smoking is not allowed on the premises. To support sustainable living, secure bike storage sheds are provided to all tenants. Vehicles may park on the street.

The Neighborhood
The West End, defined as the neighborhood bordered by Webster, Central, Main and Atlantic, is a hidden gem. With its proximity to multiple beaches and the Bay Trail, you will feel the expansiveness that comes with beachside living. The West End is the only neighborhood on the "Island City" that has two farmer's markets per week, walkability to cafes and shops and direct access to San Francisco. The West End boasts not one, but TWO ferry terminals as well as an express Trans-Bay bus. Come make the West End your home.

In your message to request a showing, please include a bit about yourself and the reason for your move.

  • Trulia User
"It’s a nice quiet neighborhood. Families outside, kids walking, riding bikes, water balloon fights and table tennis are regularly enjoyed. I moved here from the city - it’s definitely slower - shuts down early but a lovely place to call home - seemingly a lone star born from the idyllic American towns of yesteryear. "
  • Trulia User
"I see families walking their pets and going to parks. The side streets are usually blocked off for ‘safe streets’ but any main road will be busy with cars speeding by. "
