Students are openly smoking weeds at the bathrooms and teaching other to smoke, there is no enforcement to stop it. But that does NOT mean he should be treated the way he’s being treated. That’s not a reason to basically punish a kid instead of helping him.I’ve emailed teachers, staff, even the principal, and nothing really gets resolved. Either they don’t answer or they just say “everything is on Canvas” and that’s it. But the way every teacher has their assignments set up is confusing. It’s not clear, and even with a tutor it’s been hard to figure out what he actually needs to do.On top of that, my son had a serious accident and needed emergency surgery. He was in bed for about a month. When he came back, he started doing his work, even if it was late for obvious reasons, and instead of working with him, a lot of teachers just refused to accept it. So instead of support, he just gets punished more.There were even assignments sitting at the front desk for about a month that were NEVER given to me, even though I pick him up every single day. Now they’re saying he didn’t do them and marking everything missing, and not giving him a chance to make it up. That’s not fair at all.Also, I’m going to be honest, it does feel like some students get treated differently. Whether it’s bias, attitude, or something else, you can tell. And as a parent, that’s very frustrating.Some teachers are amazing and actually try to help, and I appreciate them. But most of the experience has not been like that.I have proof of everything. If my son ends up failing because of this situation, I will take this further, because this is not okay.Parent Review3mo ago
