What Locals Say about Pueblo

  • Lthorson
"Don’t move here if you don’t like noisy cars with straight pipes. Lots of speeding and rude drivers. Also, hard to get good service even from so-called professionals. "

"Pueblo is a great place to live! It's so peaceful and people are really kind and friendly. The landscape has a subtle beauty that kind of creeps up on you. We moved here from Denver 7 years ago and I love it here."

"Quick and easy. It's a 7 minute drive to my job. The traffic can be busy, but compared to other areas it's acceptable. There are also car services, and a bus system that is easily accessible, and dependable. "

"There are bad areas all around town, so you can't escape it unless you isolate yourself. just always make sure you keep an eye on your kids when playing, so not too play in traffic or talk to strangers unless emergency. "

"Poorly maintained sidewalks, and stretches without any at all. Few people pick up after their pets. Many are loose and will run up to you and your dog when walking. People often throw trash and other things that can be harmful to pets into backyards. "

"The higher crime areas should be avoided, as there are dangerous gangs, but overall, Pueblo has a "small town" feel with big town square footage. Lot's of great eateries, and plenty of places to shop, Pueblo has everthing one needs and the cost of living is far less than the state."

"People are nice, houses are nice but backyards are small so you might not be able to set up a swing set or dig in a pool. The location is very convenient as it is within walking distance to the grocery stores, pharmacy and bank. As well as your local Starbucks."

"My neighborhood is very pretty and lively and safe but it is getting busier. The homeowners have between 3 to 4 cars since their children have grown up and are now cars parked on the street whereas there were none when we moved here. For me, the commute to work and my son’s school is inconvenient as well as extracurricular activities but everything else from banks to pharmacies stores and grocery stores are here. The location is good, it was better before so now, the other part of Pueblo north seems the way to go."

"The commute to my daughters school and back, as well as to the grocery store and my husbands work is easy, always with a moderate amount of traffic. It’s easy to get back and forth to where I need to go without any confusion or getting lost and I always get to where I’m going in a timely manner. During lunch hours it can get busy on the roads but still easy to navigate. I love driving around my neighborhood and seeing how everyone cares for their lawn and takes pride in its appearance. I see people walking their dogs everyday. "
