Even though it is a small community it has great energy and a lot of creative, caring folks.Parent Review3mo ago5 Reviews - Charles O Dickerson High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAt this point in time tburg hs is not serving the needs of high performing students. Many parents have individually spiken with administrators. Advanced classes are being cut out and teachers let go. Board of ed minutes show two big adminisrative jobs creayed achool year 2013-4 asst. Superintendent and assist director of technology. Hs principal's wife hired into rare newly created teaching asst position same school year --see boe minutes. School is riding on high test scores of a handful of students. There are sone good teachers but a lot have retired. Focus is not at all on high performing kids -- you're on yiur own. Current hs principal cycled thru many 4-5 districts before landing at tburg in a time of "drama". He was a guidance counselor specializing as per his job and masters thesis in troubled kids.Parent Review11y ago2 Reviews - Russell I Doig Middle School

There is a nice character education program, challenging courses, great sports teams, fantastic music and other extra curricular offerings. it's a nice place to work and send your children!Teacher Review15y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near Krums Corners Rd #0.

"They would like the dog park mostly the skateboard park and the only thing they wouldn’t like is some landlords expect dog deposits and some don’t allow dogs, whether working dog or not."

"It is hard to live here and depend on public transportation. You must have a car for groceries and emergencies. There is no biking path or good side walks. "

"Views, street lights and nature trail. Traffic can get a bit fast, but the road is safe. New bike paths across the bridge are interesting "

"It is a very easy commute to downtown. Slightly more to the colleges. I consider commutes under 15 minutes to be easy though. I know Ithacans complain about traffic at the “octopus”, but that’s only because most of them have never seen traffic."

"I've lived in the area for 13 years. I've lived in Northeast Ithaca specifically for 5 years. Northeast Ithaca is very competitive as far as buying a home. The people are great and Northeast Elementary including the Ithaca City School District is beyond amazing. Northeast Ithaca is close to Cornell University. There are many reasons why homes in in Northeast Ithaca are in high demand."

Many grocery stores and restaurants and retail stores to shop. Unique shops on the main common area in the middle of the city. There is so many outdoor lights activities for all ages in the Finger Lakes area. "

"There are two parks in a three block area. Level walking throughout the neighborhood. It would be nice however for the city to make the parks more dog friendly and put up waste containers for doggy poop bags. "
