"I don’t think dog lovers like cleaning up after their pets. There are no dog parks here so that might be a discouraging factor. Overall it’s a great are for pets."

"Wilkinsburg gets a bad rap because of an age old bias. I have never felt unsafe here, in fact, I feel the opposite - I know that all my neighbors would help me if I needed and I would help them. The one time my dog got lost, over 25 people came out of their homes to help. This neighborhood is wonderful and family oriented. "

"There is a tiny dog park on west street that is so convenient. Especially when the weather doesn’t warrant a trip to Frick park, it’s a great spot."

"I grew up in Wilkinsburg. I love that we have stores on almost every corner. If you do not own a car, no worries busses run great here. All down penn Avenue you have banks, a grocery store, convinient stores, few fast food restaurants, barber shops and hair salons, hair stores, clothing stores and more 🙂"

"My neighborhood is very close the the interstate, which makes getting into the city very easy. The area is pretty busy in the mornings and afternoons but easy access to 376 makes it easy to get wherever. "

"Biddles escape, Madeleine Bakery, mookshi yoga studio, regent around the square, square cafe, D’s, the theater, Environmental Charter school, and my personal favorite—Frick Park... this is my absolute favorite place in pittsburgh. More than proud to call it my home."

"I have lived here for nine years l can caught a bus anywhere my baber shop is in walking distance and so is my nail salon and my therapist office as well as grocery store have access to restaurants my bank and my jewelry just numerous things that I can do as well as the gym"
