What Locals Say about Sharpsburg

  • Rtq9cv5d26
"The town is quiet friendly and fun for the kids and animals the commute to town is one bus and comes pretty quick"
  • Morgan.carolin
"Every summer there’s a fair in the streets but that’s about it. I don’t feel unsafe particularly but there’s kids up in the streets all night and throwing footballs that hits neighbors windows and my car. There’s dog poop all over the parks and streets. I definitely wouldn’t want to raise children here but it’s been cheap and fine for my boyfriend and I. Moving when we can though. "
  • Rick G.
"Its a very noisy neighborhood filled with annoying alcoholics. I would not recommend moving here. Avoid visiting if possible. "
  • Laura G.
"Annual Guyasuta Days festival in summer, Easter egg hunt, Halloween event for kids, new micro-brew bars"
  • Djengelrt
"If your close to either end it’s good but in the middle is terrible. Between 10th and 14th it’s very narrow. "
  • Carla L. E.
"I have lived for a while. It is a good neighborhood. Parking is horrendous. The neighbors are friendly."
  • Madison M.
"Sharpsburgh is very community oriented, has a great school district, and it's close to the city and amenities. "
  • Carla L. E.
"I have lived here for a short period of time. The parking stinks. I will be moving as soon as possible."
  • jessiescleaning1
"I have worked here for twenty years and I love this area! I cant wait to finally own a home close to work and enjoy the wonderful little things this great town has to offer!"
  • ChihuaGirl
"I've lived across the Highland Pk bridge from the city in the Borough of Sharpsburg for 26 years and it's an affordable small town. I feel safe walking my little dogs at any time day or night. Very close to the north and eastern areas of Pittsburgh while being outside of the city. The Fox Chapel Area School District is one of the best in the western PA region and borough and school taxes are only 1% combined. Young singles and couples will not find a night life but Sharpsburg is so close taxies are not too costly and two bus lines run frequently on Main St. so getting to the city is quick and easy."
