  • Gloria T. R.
"This is a very active lake community offering swimming, fishing, boating, skating all year round activities such as annual pig roast, halloween, santas visit, fishing contests and more. There are always people taking walks around the neighborhood. For children there is a playground, basketball court, swim team and association activities during the year. There are community events year round for all to enjoy. The people I met are friendly and really like living here. Older children like fishing and riding their bikes to their friends house. There are many who grew up here and as adults have decided to raise their children here because of the life style. It is an easy commute with Route 23 only minutes from the lake. Shopping is approximately 15 mins to Franklin and Jefferson. If you are commuting from Route 287 or Route 80 and traveling North on Rt 23, its an easy stop on the way home to pick up groceries or shop. There are many stores along Route 23. From the lake you can go in either direction about 15 mins for groceries or shopping. Lake living is a life style and is not for everyone, but if you enjoy lake living, country surroundings and being a part of a community than you should consider Lake Tamarack. The people that live here choose to live here for a reason."

"While it's true there is not much night life nearby or restaurants and shopping, that's exactly what we were looking for when we moved here. I wanted to get away from the malls and congestion and shopping centers (I don't mind visiting them, but I don't want to live near them). It's a great place to raise kids "
