"Great town, schools are just ok. Would consider private if you move here. Lake community and people are lovely. Great place to raise a family and very active community with lots of hiking trails."

"Great place to live moved here a year ago and absolutely love the people all the outdoor beauty it offers "
  • Trulia User
"There is a local dog park but it is made of pebbles and no one picks up after their dog there. Luckily the streets are very walkable and most people have dogs in the neighborhood. Dogs are not allowed on lake property and must be leashed at all times. There are many dog walkers in the neighborhood as well. "

  • Meaghan C.
"Lived here for three years. Wonderful people and wonderful scenery! It’s truly a wonderful place to live and raise a family"
  • Dblnpadyny
"The area is very beautiful to the eye, people are very friendly, where community matters. The schools are great and kids are able to grow up in a nice environment. There are a lot of family/individual activists to do in area. It is like living in the country, yet having access to all the usual stores/restaurants etc that you have in a middle class neighborhood. "
  • Jared R.
"Ringwood is a very private town. They have a couple of parades every year. Lots of events at the local churches and library. I’m a lifetime resident of 44 years. I enjoy Ringwood because I can leave my car running at the local market without even a thought of it being stolen. I have chosen to enjoy the solitude of living in the woods and not having to be very neighborly. But when tough times come, everyone is always willing to help and work together, Ringwood is great at giving you that choice. I come to Ringwood to hide from the rest of the world, with its fresh air, forests and beautiful lakes. "
  • Diane K.
"This is a great place for dog owners. There’s a dog park and tons of wooded trails. You always see folks walking their dogs, often with friends and their dogs. "
  • Kim

  • Rob1173
"Easy commute to most major highways yet still has the secluded nature feel. Best of both worlds. Also easy to get to park and ride in town."
  • Chris3504
"We live within the community of Cupsaw Lake and if you ever have the opportunity to be a home owner here you will not be disappointed."
  • Lynne K.
"Ringwood is a beautiful community situated in the Ramapo Mountains, and is loaded with lakes, parks, and forest trails. It's physical beauty is matched by the flavor of the community of which it is comprised. This is a tight-knit community where there is always a friendly smile and "hello" to greet you wherever you go. New Jersey Magazine has named it in its top 20 places to raise children, and with good reason. The lakes, athletics, schools, clubs, etc. provide a place for every member of every family to shine! It is truly a place like no other!"
  • Gerry S.
