What Locals Say about Greater Landover

  • Jrheneeb
"I grew up here. I moved back after 30 years. It’s friendly but the neighborhood isn’t that great. I wish it was better. It has the potential to be better if there was some investment into the neighborhood. "
  • Jrheneeb
"It is near the metro but it far enough out that car is preferable. It is easy to get ride share though. "
  • Jrheneeb

  • Trulia User
"no just no. looks like there is room for alot of improvement. the high school looks good on the outside. but the neighborhood is questionable."
  • Samuel_fatungase
"The neighborhood is friendly. A lot of family visits in the neighborhood so do not marvel if you hear music on your street or smell cooked burgers. Only con is that there are no designated parking spots, people conveniently park in your spot. "
  • Rosalia W.
"Thankfully in the current living situation that I am in, I get rides to and from work. My job is about 10 minutes away from my current residence, with traffic. "
  • Connie G.

"Every neighborhood you have to experience for yourself. Schools are decent and neighbors are decent "
  • Leshaephilyaw
"There's no dog park. It's a decent neighborhood to have dogs but be sure they're leashed and you clean up after them."
  • Markeyta A.
"Don’t really feel safe at night, have seen a small fox raccoons and possums. Not really in walking distance to any restaurants but maybe a few fast food spots and definitely no parking at night. "
  • Cynthia A. H.
"I lived in the same home since 1987 what make my neighborhood unique is my neighbors have a live band every day at 7pm they start playing. It can go from 7pm until 11 or 12pm every day I call the police "
  • Fryeguy28
"Not exactly a safe place for kids to play outside. Brand new fairmont high school across street but doesn’t change the people living in neighborhood. "
  • Monique
"I live very close to fedex field, 3 metro stations (1 in walking distance), and a huge new community center "
  • Discver242015
"Streets are dirty. There is not enough parking space so some people park outside on the streets. Also kids are always running around the parking spaces and it is dangerous."
  • Joyce L.
"I am Grandmother who visits often. I love the kiddie park for them that offers slides and basketball court. There is a church very near and the bus stop is also close. The environment is what I would call suburbia, since I live in the city, I like that I can get on a bus to go to Washington DC. It's a great place to bring up my little grandsons...I Love the quiet neighborhood. "
