"The public schools are not highly rated but most of the parents that send their children to these schools seem pleased. The admission process for private schools can seem intimidating but I think the experience will be rewarding"

"It’s gotten worse since Potomac yard was built up and Amazon will make it even worse. My commute time has doubled in the last 10 years to about 35-40 minutes."

"I've lived here for almost years. I have seen so much positive change. Nervous about the impact of the incoming Amazon invasion. Del Ray is the epitome of small town feeling. No chain restaurants or shops and a place that functions and feels like neighborhood. "
  • Crowleyc2001
"I work from home and therefore have no commute. There’s good access to public transit in the form of busses to the metro stations in Crystal City and Braddock Road. The neighborhood however is reasonably quiet considering its proximity to Route 1. "

"Very active, family friendly neighborhood with nice neighbors and locally-owned businesses. Everything is very walkable with two Metro stops within a mile of the Del Ray neighborhood. Community events nearly every weekend in the Spring, Summer, and early Fall. The Del Ray Farmers Market is every Saturday from 8-12 pm. Love this great neighborhood. "

"We ADORE living in Warwick Village, because of the amazing community. Neighbors go out of their way to know each other and are very involved in making the neighborhood special. Del Ray is a rare gem in the DC Metro area. We are minutes from downtown DC and right on the metro line, and yet are a very walkable and friendly town. Our family walks to restaurants, shops, the local elementary school and recreation center daily. There are tons of playgrounds, dog parks, and community programs for both kids and adults. It's truly a great place to live."
  • "Holly St has all the advantages of walking distance to "The Avenue" -- coffee shops, restaurants, street festivals, shopping, nice/modern public recreation center, and a top-notch library. And yet it has more privacy and space between houses, plenty of on-street parking, and safe streets -- great for families with kids."
  • Lynda R. R.
"The neighborhood has nearby restaurants and shops. There are two Metro subway stops and an Amtrak station within walking distance. It is well maintained and pet friendly."
