What Locals Say about Little Forest Hills

  • Meagan C.
"It’s an easy commute from anywhere in East Dallas as it is centrally located and there are three major freeways accessible from this part of town. Traffic in Dallas is never easy but Public transportation is also accessible if you’re willing to drive 5 to 10 minutes to the train station. There are a lot of job opportunities in this area so commuting is typically not very far like it is in the suburbs. "
  • Meagan C.
"It’s a safe place for kids to be playing. Many neighbors are out in yards gardening or walking. People are well educated or self directed in this part town. There are activities available for kids through neighborhood associations and recreation centers. In my neighborhood there’s a school where many residents volunteer but there’s a nice homeschool community and they take breaks and schedule play times with other families. I don’t have kids but I hear the schools in the area could be better. "
  • Vanessa M.
"Sidewalks are sparse in the area, only half of the houses have them. Half of the sidewalks aren’t safe to walk on. The neighborhood is quirky in a good way, but better sidewalks would be nice. "

"Neighbors know each other and have monthly get togethers. There is a Farmer’s Market and community garden projects that bring people together."

"people and location! friends and neighbors ,walkable neighborhood, people look out for one another too much to mention. "
  • "Little Forest Hills is quiet, great for kids, and has more character than any other neighborhood in Dallas. It's location alongside the Dallas Arboretum and White Rock Lake makes it ridiculously easy to get some fresh air and pretty scenery without getting in your car. As long as we're in Dallas, we'll be in LFH."
  • "Little Forest Hills is a friendly, diverse community where neighbors look after each other. We're surrounded by parks, old growth trees, within walking distance to White Rock Lake and the a Dallas Arboretum. The food scene is thriving, very close grocery stores & retail but without all the traffic you'll find in other parts of Dallas. You'll find a mix of old and new homes, bungalows to modern urban new construction and it all makes this a great place to live."
