"There is easy access to many major freeways (Cerritos was almost named Freeway City). The surface streets are fairly well maintained, so commute time is pretty short and safe. Most traffic is around peak times, such as school drop off and pick up, or mornings and typical rush hour. Traffic is closer to the freeway, but lots of side streets to take with less traffic. "
