California Heights: charming, walkable Long Beach enclave with parks, events, and classic homes. People love walkability, dog-friendly vibe, First Fridays, parks, and quick freeway/airport access. Parking can be tight, some traffic and sirens, barking dogs, occasional coyotes and leash issues.

"Lots of young kids have moved into the area. Older families have left. We moved here a year ago and only two of the homes immediately next to us have original tenants. "

"It’s a decent enough neighborhood. However, constant dogs barking all over plus the street sounds (Orange) and sirens makes it seem like it’s an off ramp to a hospital ER! People are nice enough tho!"
