"It’s the best neighborhood on Long Island. I love the trees and the access to water. I also love our school and I’m proud to pay taxes for a diverse population. "

"It’s an amazing place to be. The people are so nice and friendly. There’s a lot of stores the mall is close by. Everything is close around me so anytime I need something it won’t be a hassle to get. It’s peaceful and fun at the same time."
  • Shannon O.
"Safety and Community. The private beach is nice and quaint . The doggie park is much larger. It’s better for families with children. The schools are in good standings as far as overall grades."

"I live here and love it. My husband and i are in our 40's and have a toddler, we have lived here for 2 years. Brightwaters is an incorporated village, so you also pay a village tax. The extra tax is well worth it: village police, back door trash pick up, private beach, parks for kids, and many community events. Very safe neighborhood. There are weeks that I dont even drive my car; we can walk to a shopping center (food store, barnes and noble, target, lowes, old navy, home goods, drug store, models, payless, etc), walk to the park and easily bike to the library and bay beach. The parks are clean and well kept. Traffic is low in the village; there is average traffic on the through streets. A village ordinance is that there is no over-night street parking. It is a 5 minute drive to the bay shore train station, and 10 minutes to the babylon station. This is a fabulous community. We have movie night in the park, picnic nights at the beach, ice cream socials in the park, halloween parades through the center of town with a marching band and fire trucks, Santa comes to the park to meet the kids, Easter egg hunts and friendly neighbors. Super clean. Great place for raising a family; I can walk around and meet many other parents out with their kids. We love Brightwaters!"
