"We are a diverse neighborhood of differing families from many walks of life. We enjoy the exercise opportunities that come with having a hiking and bike trail by our back door Chester creek. Lots of walkers and strollers. There are several working artists that have chosen to buy homes here and many open their studios to visitors year round. There are multiple parents with young children. This is not your average suburban environment, but more interesting and wild. A fun place for children to play and explore. Our landscape is very hilly and the creek cuts a deep swarth through it. Forest surrounds the winding buggy roads that are now paved for small industries. There are many stone mills still standing creekside. Church bells ring out several times a week. A lovely sound from the opposite bluff where the white steeple can be seen in the distance. We are living in a turn of the century mill town that still holds deep flavors of the past. "

"All depends how you time the 3- 5 o’clock traffic. Other than that the commute to Center City Phila. Is 25 min up north and Wilmington De. Just 3-5 miles down the street. This is one of the most centrally located Townships."
  • Danpolisky

"I’m an artist that has had a studio in this neighborhood for over twenty years. It’s in an old mill that is now filled with artists and more of us have bought properties here. We see this small mill town as a thriving art community with an Art Center, Studio spaces and affordable homes to renovate. I bought a house here five yrs ago and have made it a lovely place to live. The township is supportively behind this small art community as it grows. There is a lovely new hike and bike trail I walk to with my dogs everyday. It meanders beside a fishing creek completely surrounded by wooded areas. "

"Our area of Aston is filled with families that have been here for 3 or more generations. Our road is busy but it also keeps strangers from wandering our streets. We know just about everyone in the surrounding blocks."
