This is not a good private school. Don't waste your money. Many of the teachers lack teaching credentials. They get entry level jobs at Carmel, which pays less than public schools, until they get enough experience to get hired by better-paying public or private schools. The good ones generally leave very quickly. Though the class sizes are small, the teachers don't provide any additional level of attention or care to individual students. They teach to the average student and consider their job done. They don't go the extra mile to provide a more individualized educational experience for children who are struggling with certain subjects, such as reading or math. They don't recognize and address learning issues. They also don't deal with behavior or social problems in young kids - if a child is struggling with confidence issues or shyness, they allow that child to fade to the background and make no effort to engage the child, even in a class with 10 kids or less in it. Further, the children whose parents teach at the school, volunteer at the school frequently, or donate money get preferential treatment. I would also note that while the school markets its "Christian" values, no one at the school actually displays any. The teachers openly play favorites. The Varsity basketball team members cuss loudly at each other and at opponents, and I watched them mouth off and engage aggressively with fans at an opposing team's gym. The members of the girls' Varsity volleyball team rolled their uniform shorts up so high that you could see one of the girl's tan lines, and yet nothing was said by the coach, and they played the entire game that way. Overall, this school isn't much if any of an improvement over public school. Look for a better private Christian school.
