Colony Gardens Estates

We are a military family and our kids have attended several schools. BES is really a hidden gem. I'm not really sure I understand all the negativity in these (mostly older) posts but I think a refresh is needed in the ratings. BES has the AMES (gifted and talented) program for the area and it is outstanding with great teachers, low student to teacher to ratio (about 10:1), and very competitive programs. It is true that there are many low-income families that attend this school and those kids have some extra challenges to deal with I'm sure, but the school makes every effort to address these concerns through a caring faculty and Government grants for food and uniforms. My kids were even issued high quality laptops and have been immersed in strong academics. I really think the school's ranking by this website should be reconsidered. I am glad my kids have attended BES.

During the 3 years my daughter spent at coosa the experience was nothing but AMAZING! The teachers here are wonderful and make the kids feel safe and welcomed. Each teacher my daughter had was amazing and she learned so much well being here, we are sad to be leaving this wonderful school. Keep up the awesome job coosa elementary!!

Great school, great staff, and incredible students! We love the small class sizes! We had our kids in the best public school in the areas but sent them to Saint Peter’s knowing that they wouldn’t be continuing to the public middle school. Best decision ever! Wish we would have sent them to SPCS from the beginning!

Subpar. This school clearly allows any child in. They do not enforce the written dress code. 80% of the teachers are under 25 and have little to no experience. Class sizes are HuGe. And parent concerns are not recognized.

This school has set the pace in Beaufort for 40 years of innovative, child centered education. It provides Montessori training for toddlers age 18 mo., primary age (3 - 5 Yr) and elementary age children with trained, experienced teachers in lovely, well equipped classrooms. Early and late care provided, convenient location on main road.

This school and its staff is the greatest. The PTO rocks. They do a lot for the school

I am a former student of this school that had left in the year 2022 and any parent who wants their child to be send to this school, please, do not. I was bullied by multiple kids and even when I was bullied in front of the teacher, the teacher did not do anything. Even after I had told my parents, these kids still did it in front of the teacher and no one did anything. Extremely disappointed of this school, I can’t believe it’s even considered a Christian school.
