Our family has been part of the Lourdes community for five years, and the 2024–2025 school year was, without a doubt, our best experience yet.In previous years, especially under the last administrator, the school environment was deeply discouraging. Communication was nearly nonexistent, parents were kept at a distance, and student enjoyment seemed to be an afterthought. It felt more like a tightly controlled institution than a nurturing place of learning. Volunteer opportunities were denied, and we often had to fight just to be present in our children’s school lives.When the former administrator was placed on leave pending an investigation and later resigned, it confirmed what many of us had felt — something was very wrong. Understandably, we were hesitant as we entered another year with a new leader.Then came Karly and everything changed.From day one, Karly brought light, hope, and genuine leadership to Lourdes. Her communication is clear, consistent, and thoughtful. Her weekly newsletters became something we looked forward to. Most importantly, she values and encourages parent involvement, which made our family feel seen and welcomed again.Despite facing challenges left behind by the previous administration, as well as unfair criticism from a few individuals, Karly has led with grace, integrity, and strength. My child was excited to attend school again, and that shift alone speaks volumes.Karly has been exactly what Lourdes needed. We are so thankful for her leadership and proud to be part of a school that feels alive and united once again.
