Morris Beach

As a current student in this school I do NOT recommend it. The schools building has barely changed since it was constructed. Mold in every corner of classrooms to the constant ceiling leaks that never get fixed until months later. They will keep huge trash bins in the middle of the hallway to catch the leaking water, uncaring that the bins are in the way of kids getting to their designated classes. Hallways are always messy and all the lockers always get stuck even when putting the right combo in. When it comes to bullying they state that “they will do the best they can to resolve the issue” but when it actually happens they don’t do anything about it or punish the kid in the right. Even the teachers will bully you if they just find you annoying. As soon as I walk into this school I feel an overwhelming sense of dread. Teachers barely give you any breaks, giving you tests every week even if you’ve only been in the unit for 4 days, and if you don’t understand a topic? Oh well guess your just to stupid to understand anything. Teachers will load mounts of homework on you and if you didn’t have enough time to complete it all then apparently your just lazy and lying. If your sick with a doctors note it’s not excused but in gym if you come in before the timeline on the note is ended you HAVE to sit out, sounds pretty hypocritical to me. How am I supposed to trust that my educators are teaching me true stuff when I’m getting fed hypocritical nonsense at every corner. Only a few teachers are actually caring and nice. If Dawes allowed students over 4th grade I’d rather go there instead of this never ending suffering I can’t escape. If you have terrible social anxiety, no you don’t…your just acting like it to get out of work. Never enroll your child here unless you want them to come home every day exhausted and unhappy.
