Cold Spring

All three of my children have gone to West Cape May Elementary and all have had an excellent learning experience. The small classrooms allow for a lower teacher to student ratio. WCME is also a NJ Choice School.

My older son had a great experience here, my younger son has been the frequent victim of inequality and discrimination in this district. He has a medical condition and pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:16-2.3 only a school nurse can administer medication. On multiple occasions this school has not had adequate nursing staff available. This has resulted in my son missing out on educational opportunities and my husband and I missing work. Lack of a consistent school nurse poses a public health and safety issue, despite many attempts to remedy this at BOE meetings ; this administration has failed. I would recommend this school to those who have able bodied children, but run the other way if your child has any type of medical issues. This school and community is full of ableism and failure to comply with ADA requirements.
