NACalificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresDont waste your money and chance at a good education for your children. Education is the best legacy you can give your child and this is not the place. Bad teachers and even worse administration. They increase the fees every year until its no longer affordable. The amount of manipulation and narcissism that goes on here is alarming with no accountability. Because this is an independent school its very hard to get accountability. Dont get in and get stuck. This is definitely not the school for a great mental and academically balanced education. The previous head of school of many years quit when he saw things were headed downhill and the guy Deandre Calhoun has no idea what he is doing. Its sad to see how things have deteriorated in the last few years. Thankfully my child is in 8th grade and he is graduating and ready to put this horror behind us.Parent Revisar5mo ago22 Reseñas - Reid Temple Christian Academy

NACalificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresI would not recommend enrolling your child in this school. The administration appears to be more focused on financial matters than on the well-being and development of the children. The staff has demonstrated unprofessional behavior, and my four-year-old was removed from the school due to unsubstantiated allegations. The school does not provide adequate support or resources for children they perceive as having behavioral challenges. Michelle Taylor initially informed me that my son could not return because of these allegations, but later denied making that statement—apparently in an attempt to justify additional fees on what they claim is an outstanding balance. For an institution that identifies as a Christian academy, I found very little that reflected Christian values in their actions. I strongly advise parents to consider other options before enrolling their children here.Parent Revisar1y ago20 Reseñas - Washington New Church School

NACalificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresWe were looking for a new school for my youngest daughter after she wasn't doing well at her previous school (lack of support, disorganized staff, and outdated curriculum, to say the least). Washington New Church School was THE best decision we could have made! The school is small, but that doesn't disadvantage the children at all! The teachers know everyone by name, and all the kids are very close. My daughter learned many skills that she would not have experienced at her old school, and she came out a stellar student ready to take on high school. The school is diverse both in staff and students, and there are plenty of opportunities in the classroom to learn about different cultures! The school also hosts many community events and fundraisers that we love to attend and show support for! Our daughter loved her time here and still talks about it to this day as if she never left. All this to say, if you were thinking of bringing your children here- DO IT! You won't regret it.Parent Revisar1y ago17 Reseñas - Holy Trinity: An Episcopal School

NACalificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresI absolutely love this school. My son is in Kindergarten this school year and I am very pleased. He has made dramatic improvements in his comprehension, reading, writing and math. Plus he adores his school! At just about 6 years old, he is always rushing me in the morning so he can get to school on time. He tells me "Mommy don't make me late", LOL. I do believe that every experience is unique and that you must do thorough research when deciding where to send your children. I have a two year old daughter who I plan to also send to HTEDS and follow in her brother's steps. I love that they demand the most from their students and require parents to participate in their children's education. Yes their expectations are high, but I think high expectations prepare our children to readily compete on a larger level in all parts of their life. While I feel the tuition is more than affordable and I decided to give the school 4 stars because the before and after care is quite pricey. They should re-evaluate that system. Otherwise, great, safe, engaging and fun learning environment at a great price and their program can compete with most of the surrounding private schools in the region.Parent Revisar12y ago12 Reseñas - Woodstream Christian Academy

NACalificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresDo not send your children to this school!!!! This school does not meet the academic rigor that students need to be successful in high school and beyond. It has been my experience, that minimal teaching is being done, and the students are spending more time on their laptops instead of being taught by the teacher. Furthermore, the work that is given is not academically challenging for middle schoolers. I have a 5th grader who attends another private school in the area, and the academic rigor that she has in the 5th grade is more challenging than the work my 8th grader is coming home with. Additionally, he is struggling to do the 5th grade level work that my daughter is doing. Additionally, their administration of the school is extremely poor. I received a call to pick my child up from school, with no explanation, other than he needs to be picked up. Upon arrival there was no one in administration who could tell me why my student was asked to be picked up, and the reason I received is everyone was busy and could not speak to me and I would have to wait until the teacher put it into the portal. Completely unacceptable for anyone who is an administrator in school to not be available to speak to a parent regarding their student being told he could not be at school that day. This school lacks effective leadership in their administrative staff and I highly recommend that you save your money and invest in a school that will educate and make your student more academically well rounded and competitive for the the 21st century. Furthermore, they need new leadership to reform their administrative staff to be more effective in engaging with parents and students.Parent Revisar5mo ago40 Reseñas - Victory Christian Academy
