4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have witnessed teachers yelling at kindergarteners like they’re grown to stand in a line and be quiet. There is no respect or patience between most teachers and students, only power dynamics it seems. I witnessed the receptionist tell a 6-7 year old boy who was on a late bus that he needed to ‘come to school on time’ to eat the breakfast he asked for. As if it was the little boys fault that his bus was late. The counselor would make for a better principal than whoever runs it right now. Thankful Caddo Parish is allowing my autistic boy to transfer schools so he won’t have to come back to this nightmare next year. This school compares to a Red River Parish school.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Turner Elementary/Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience has been a little of both I've heard from teachers and students about the lack of discipline and holding students accountable. Parents aren't involved when the school provides several ways to be involved. The communication could be better amongst staff members to keep everyone on the same page. Communication needs improved across the board parents, students and teachers. Principal needs to get more involved I rarely saw him the times I was at the school my child saw him. There needs to be an improvement in organizing and communication. Teachers need to be more hands on and appreciate their position and see it more than a paycheck. Take time to invest in themselves and thejr classrooms and maybe it will change how the child feels. They are their to not only teach reading, math, science but to teach life long lessons stop just giving busy work and really teach take the time out to show the students something. This school isn't what I thought it was and I believe sending my child damage them more than helped.Parent Review1w ago11 Reviews - Colquitt Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageColquitt Christian Academy has been a huge blessing to our family, both spiritually and academically. My daughter loves Jesus and wants to follow his plan for her life. She is very knowledgeable about the bible and is able to apply it to her daily living. She was recently baptized and we are happy with the choices she continues to make as she grows in Christ. Academically, my daughter has maintained straight A's from 1st-7th. I had her tested for magnet in the second grade and she was accepted for her third grade year. As a public school teacher, I wanted to see if she could score well and thanks to CCA she did! However, we kept her at CCA because academics were on target and we wanted the spiritual component that you just can't get in public school. And, now, we are super excited about the upcoming 2014-15 school year! My daughter had Mrs. Theresa Parker as a teacher in the first and second grade, and now she will have her again in 8th grade. And to add to the excitement, her little brother will be enrolling for kindergarten. Thank you CCA for being such a positive influence in the life of my daughter. I thank the Lord daily for this church school.Parent Review12y ago4 Reviews
