Great school! Teachers are caring and dedicated to learning. Great extra cirrucular, sports, and educational programs. For the last few years Hazard high school has been ranked in the top 7 in the state according to state tests and is the only school in ranked in the top 10 which takes students with disabilities. Alot of this success stems from the background they get at Walkertown and Roy G.

Each review really isnt specifically about East Perry elementary school in Hazard Kentucky but all of perry county schools in general. When compared to hazard independent schools the perry county schools miss probably thirty percent of the year for nothing. If the weather station even predicts a Slight chance of a flurry they cancel school. it's really taking effect on the kids. I know it's taking an affect on my daughter. I feel that she's behind in everything Academically. I feel I should have sent her to Hazard City schools. Then she would be above average or better. My point is that Perry co. Schools call school off way to much. Which is why at the end of this school year? I will pull my daughter from perry county schools and enroll her in Hazard city schools.
