Central Highland Park

HPC is full of staff that cares about kids! The teachers, admin, and support staff (counselors, paras, social worker, SLP, librarian, nurse, office staff, and more) go above and beyond to make sure students needs are being met. They strive to make sure every child is comfortable, feels loved, and has what they need to be successful in school.

The current principals, Ms. Lein and Mrs. O’ Shea have zero communication with parents. You basically have to suck up to them just get a response back. You have to go out of your way because they won’t go out of theirs just for a simple answer. Ms. Lein has zero empathy! Every time there is an assembly where the kids get rewards, the students who have family members that work there always get an award! Every single time. If you donate a hefty amount of money and/or on the pto that will also guarantee your child an award. The students who receive an award for academics are always looked over and under appreciated. It’s almost like all there hard work is for nothing, it goes unnoticed by all staff members. It’s sad.
