Golden Meadows

I’m a student at this school. The 5th grade teachers are actually so cool. But… some students here are rather questionable. They curse, and “roast” people for no reason. The gifted program is cool, they give us homework, but not TOOO much. There are a lot of activities for after school! I’ve been here since kindergarten (Covid), and the school is pretty educational.

I like the appreciation awards and constant acknowledgment of the kids accomplishments

The teachers are nowhere to be found when the kids start arguing and fighting. The fighting is excessive and there’s no control. Certain teachers are more worried about going home to their man instead of the kids. The lunch ladies are mean for no reason. They blame the kids for everything but when something goes down the teachers are nowhere to be found and take zero accountability for anything. They won’t even call you if something happens u less it’s time to get suspended or they go to the nurse. If you want a real education for your child don’t send them here I gave it a chance but there’s no way they will ever attend Clayton county school system again. I had to move out of Clayton county because of the school system.

We are 1 month into the new school year and so far King Elementary has shown that they lack severe interpersonal skills. The staff barely greets the kids in the morning and they all act like the conversations they’re having with another employee is more important than greeting these babies in the morning or even acknowledging their presence. The teachers lack the same skills and it’s beyond infuriating. Since I can’t express my disappointment physically, I will be sure to let everyone I know to avoid this school and will be withdrawing my kids ASAP.
