I was a student at Odyssey Charter School in Newnan, and I can honestly say I was pretty disappointed with my experience. The administration seemed to favor certain students, and it was clear that some people got away with a lot more than others. It made the whole school feel unfair, like some of us were just overlooked while others got special treatment for reasons that never really made sense.And don’t even get me started on some of the teachers. I had some who would literally tell students to "shut up" during class. I get that teaching can be tough, but there’s no excuse for being rude to students like that. It was honestly shocking to experience that kind of disrespect in a learning environment.As for the activities at the school, there wasn’t much to look forward to. It was pretty much the same routine every day, and there didn’t seem to be anything that was really engaging or fun. It felt like the school was more focused on just getting through the day rather than offering any kind of creative or meaningful experiences for the students.The school itself is small, which in theory could be a good thing, but in practice, it just felt overcrowded. There were so many kids packed into tight spaces, and it made things feel even more uncomfortable. It honestly felt like they were trying to fit more students in than the building could handle.In the end, I really can’t recommend Odyssey Charter School. The lack of fairness, poor discipline, and unprofessional behavior from some teachers made it a pretty frustrating experience. Maybe things will improve over time, but based on my time there, I wouldn’t go back.
