Penn Quarter

basis dc has to be one of the most horrible schools ever. i attended for 3 years (5th - 7th) and they were definitely the worst few years of my life. i failed almost every class and never had teachers come to help. in 7th grade i had 47 unexcused absences and nobody ever emailed my mother. don’t get me started on the toll it took on my mental health. i skipped at least 3 classes a week to go cry in the bathroom because of how horrible this school was making me feel. i spent the summer after 7th grade in a program to help me thru depression because of this school. but the students with good grades the school loves. i remember at the award ceremony we had 4 times a year they would have the students who got awards stand up while everyone else was sitting and just have us clap for them. is that not literally saying we’re below them. overall the school is horrible and i don’t recommend it for your child. please please please take this into consideration before applications.
