6/10Calificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresI am exceedingly dissatisfied with the educational environment and am hastening to remove my children from this school. My six-year-old daughter reports daily instances of her teacher yelling at students, which is particularly concerning given her previous enthusiasm for learning and lack of behavioral issues. Her affection for her former teacher and school made her departure difficult. This is the less of the concern for this school. Furthermore, since my second grader started at this school two weeks ago, he has experienced numerous difficulties. His peers have exhibited inappropriate behaviors, including physical contact, verbal abuse with mature themes, and vandalism of his property. As a special needs student, my child struggles with social interactions and forming new friendships, making this situation particularly distressing for me. My child should not have to fear going to school every day because of harassment from peers. I have been compelled to formalize these concerns due to the fact that my initial verbal complaints were met with dismissive laughter by the principal. As the parent of a child with special needs who has an IEP for special education services, I have been underwhelmed by the level of support provided by the new school. While I did meet with the school's IEP specialist on the first day, there has been no subsequent communication or follow-up. With the 30-day period for convening an IEP meeting following a school transfer rapidly approaching its midpoint, I am anxious that this meeting may not take place within the allotted timeframe. Moreover, it is distressing that the school has chosen to reprimand and punish behaviors that are beyond my child's control due to their specific disabilities, rather than providing the necessary support and accommodations. At the outset, I was given assurances that the afterschool program could provide targeted support for my seven-year-old son with special needs. I was led to believe that they possessed the requisite experience to cater to his needs and provide a nurturing environment. Nevertheless, subsequent to two incidents where my son displayed behaviors characteristic of his disability, the program elected to disenroll him. The school claims to prioritize their students' well-being, but their actions suggest that they are more concerned with simplifying their job responsibilities and disregarding issues that are not immediately pressing.Parent Revisar11mo ago9 Reseñas - Elverta Elementary School

4/10Calificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresThis is a really rough school. My kid got punched in the face and also got her hair pulled in the first month of school. If you want your kid to be safe, I do not recommend going to this school. There are way better schools than this, and this is not the place to bring your kid. My daughter does not feel safe there.Parent Revisar7mo ago14 Reseñas - Heron School

7/10Calificación de GreatSchoolsClasificación promedio de los padresI wanted lunch. I HATE the orange chicken. And I wanted to eat dumplings. There are not many vegetarian people at our school. This mean lunch lady does not let me have the dumplings and I am starving. My stomach grumbling, sad. Second, they have BUGS in the strawberries. I was eating them and put it down, BUG. Looked in my friends strawberrys, BUG. Do not eat strawberrys here. Third, The teachers. There was mean people bullying me. What did they do? NOTHING. Called me fat. NOTHING. Told me he was gonna kill me. NOTHING. They don't care AT ALL. Fourth, harassment. There was a kid in a younger grade on the monkey bars, and another kid pushed her. Broke her arm. Staff did not believe her. School did NOTHING. As you can see, bad school. Don't send your kids here EVER.Student Revisar1mo ago13 Reseñas - Westside Elementary School
