The Craig School is a blessing because the behavioral experts at this school actually know what they are doing with "real" evidence-based social-emotional learning. The school has a wonderful team that works tirelessly to ensure that every student is able to access a quality education that focuses on the core subjects while learning essential life/executive functioning/social skills. They use a token economy system that works and has a fun weekly Funday Friday theme. The daily social skills groups and closely-monitored recess play are also very helpful with learning how to form healthy friendships and effectively deal with any potential bullying in the moment. The required parent education is also helpful. It would be amazing if more schools, especially districts, adopted Craig's evidence-based programming so that all kids could benefit. The Craig School's teachers and administration are highly collaborative, caring and respectful of parent input. My child and family are grateful for this school.
