My experience with Stella I. Hills Elementary School was extremely disappointing. My biggest concerns were the poor school leadership, weak teaching quality, ineffective student support, and lack of accountability.In my experience, Principal Steve Robinson demonstrated serious weaknesses in management, follow-up, and responsiveness. When important student concerns were reported, the administration often redirected us to the teacher instead of taking ownership of the problem. After speaking with teachers, concerns were frequently acknowledged, but little meaningful action or follow-up occurred. This created an environment where responsibility seemed to be passed from one person to another while the student's problem continued.I was also very disappointed with the quality and professionalism of some teachers. Based on my personal observations, some appeared unmotivated, poorly responsive, weak in classroom management, and insufficiently attentive to individual student needs. The overall academic and professional standard was far below what I expected from an elementary school.My experience with the school's therapist/emotional-support staff was even more concerning. In my opinion, the support provided showed poor practical judgment and did not demonstrate the level of competence, understanding, or effectiveness required when working with a vulnerable child. Instead of helping, some interactions left me concerned that they could make an already difficult emotional situation worse.Bullying, arguments, and conflicts among students also appeared to be far too common. Fighting and bullying should never become a normal part of a school environment, yet I did not see the strong, consistent intervention that families should expect.Overall, I experienced a school with weak leadership, ineffective management, poor accountability, disappointing teaching quality, inadequate emotional support, and serious problems with student discipline and bullying.Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Stella I. Hills Elementary School. Major improvements are urgently needed in leadership, teacher accountability, student safety, bullying prevention, and emotional-support services.

Many times when I went to pick up my child from school, she did not want to come home. She'd rather stay and be involved in the projects she was working on at the time.
