Vanity Corner

I am a former student of Sidney Deener and I can honestly say that the teachers and other faculty there helped me become the person I am today. I am graduating as Valedictorian of my class in just a few more weeks. I sincerely thank the faculty and staff for pushing me to strive to be my best every day. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Kelly who was my 3rd grade teacher and who helped me as a teacher and a friend to get through probably one of the hardest years of my life. I will never forget her wise advice and kind words and believe that every parent who has a chance to put their child into her classroom should do so; look where I ended up!

Westside is a place with high quality learning standards and expectations. Students are taught character traits and leadership skills. The teachers work well together and put 200% effort into their instruction plus more. The environment feels like home and families feel welcomed. When problems arise, they are dealt with in a timely manner and with careful considerations to solutions. This school is top notch in all categories.

I can’t imagine my son being at any other school we love Sunshine School

We just arrive from another country and my child hardly spoke any english, but by week 3 he was confident enough to start speaking it. They have done such a wonderfull job, that he wakes up every morning happy to go to school.

Harding is a great place. It’s fun, safe, and they really emphasize having good relationships with everyone- God, teachers, each other. But it’s definitely not a diverse or frankly open minded place. If it’s found out you have drank, smoked, or done anything with the opposite sex on or off campus, you’re kicked out. The dress code is strict (however, uniforms are going to be put into place next year so we will see what comes of that). If you come out of the closet, you will be asked to leave. A lot of people who attend Harding do not care about these rules very much, so it’s not like a tense environment or anything. I say all of this to say that Harding is clean, sometimes wholesome, and oftentimes boring. It can be an amazing experience if you make it to be, but don’t ask it to do anything but what it’s done for 100 years.
