Pinnacle

We have 3 boys here, and they really like it. We enjoy the smaller school, close to home. Most of the teachers are great. The school has been getting better each year under the new principal.

LRCA has great community involvement. Elementary and JH leadership excellent. HS leadership weakened in recent years. They lack effective teachers in a few very important math and science areas and kids are not as prepared as they should be for rigorous degrees coming out. The big 3 boys athletics are a mess with zero player/program development- even at the MS and JH level. Dozens of coaches involved but most of the coaching staff singluarly focused on padding their own resumes for better offers . Most boys, even very athletic ones, drop out of all sports before HS because there is no focus on building any sort of real program. Nice campus facilities, extremely dedicated support and cafeteria staff, and extensive course selections and club sports options. Good effort on overlaying biblical worldview into the school. Some rockstar parents who donate a lot of time and talent to many programs. Many rave about the fine arts programs and the leadership there. Mission creep and lack of talented teachers at all levels due to increasing the size of the school way too fast. I would still recommend the school as a good WLR option, but with sincere reflection on the above caveats.
