Walking distance to library, downtown Encinitas, public transportation and Coaster stop. This home is west of I-5 and east of PCH with a 10 minute walk to town (many popular restaurants and breweries) and 20 minute walk to Moonlight Beach or Swami's. It is quiet and has lots of parking. This is a large lot with lawns in front and rear yards. Landscape maintenance is paid by owner.
2 car garage with parking for 3 more cars in the driveway and 2 cars outside the gate. The yards are fully fenced (6-7') with a beautiful clear cedar privacy fence in front. Electric gate opens into a lushly landscaped yard. The modern house is designed in a tropical "island" style with large overhangs, lots of glass and 20(!) skylights. Vaulted ceilings and 2 large adjacent living rooms (one for quiet evenings and TV and one for dining and socializing). Owner quality furnishings are from Bali and Indonesia and are casual and elegant, following the Pacific island design. Quality art throughout the house. The house was furnished and decorated by the owners for their own use. Large master suite with private solarium upstairs and a 2nd large bedroom with attached bath downstairs. Also downstairs is a flexible-use room that could be an office or third bedroom, with a bathroom. There is a gas barbecue grill and a table for dining on the garden deck under the party lights!
Large modern and fully equipped kitchen with two sinks, 2 ranges (gas and electric) dishwasher and all appliances. A utility has a washer, dryer and chest freezer.
There is central heating and air-conditioning, though in Encinitas you rarely need either.
House is offered for medium to long term rent fully furnished and with all utilities and internet. Pets are permitted. No smoking inside.

Owner pays for gardening/landscape maintenance, all utilities including electric, gas, water and internet. Minor maintenance including plumbing is the responsibility of the renter. Renter is responsible for thorough cleaning including carpet cleaning, and repair/replacement of any damage or missing items at end of lease.
This is a quality house with quality furnishings and any damage will be the renter's responsibility.

    "The neighborhood is a mix of retired people and new families. It’s not as communal as other cities I’ve lived in with many people driving in and out of the community and then staying inside or in their backyard. The gates parks prohibit kids meeting there unless they belong to an association. It’s odd to see a gated park that children cannot play on , meet new kids that live across the street, etc. I’m used to larger cities where there are more public places to gather, meet your neighbors, and create a stronger community."

Package theft does happen and people don’t clean up after their pets well. The rent is also really high around here. "
