Beautiful Mountain Home only 12 minutes from downtown Boulder and CU.
We will be away from Boulder from December 20 to June 30 and are looking for a responsible individual, couple or small family to rent our house while we are gone. The 1800 Sq ft house is furnished and is currently set up as 2 bedrooms (queen beds in both) and two offices (one of which includes a medium size flat screen tv and a full-size futon). All of the bedrooms are on the second floor along with a full bath. There is a deck off the second floor that can be accessed from one of the bedrooms and the office/tv room. There is also a hot tub in the backyard that is accessed from the second floor. The main level consists of an open floor plan including the kitchen, dining room and living room. There is a woodstove on the main level that can be used as a secondary heating source if desired (the main heat source throughout the house is hot water baseboard, so it stays plenty warm with or without the woodstove). Much of the main level is glass and the views are fantastic. There is a deck off the main level with outdoor furniture, a BBQ grill and hammock. There is a half bath on the main level as well as a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Overall, the house is very light and comfortable, somewhat minimalist and set up to enjoy the natural surroundings. We ask that outdoor shoes not be worn in the house.
While the house has a quiet mountain feel, it is only 12-15 minutes on paved road down to Pearl Street and 20 minutes from Nederland. Betasso Nature Preserve which provides over 8 miles of trails for hiking and biking is less than a mile from the house.
The rent is $2975 per month and includes the electricity that is generated from the solar panels on the roof, high-speed internet and a landline. Other utilities that are not included in the rent are any additional electricity and propane. This is our home, and we are looking for people who will take good care of it and enjoy it as their home while they are here. We prefer no pets but would be willing to discuss some very well-behaved exceptions. We would prefer to find someone who is interested in renting it for the whole time but may be open to shorter periods. Thanks for reading!

    "We have neighborhood concerts/block parties. Really great way to connect and hear live music. We also have Farm to Bus, which is a farmer's market on a bus. They have fresh eggs and bread, as well as locally grown honey. There's a park nearby which is a great place to exercise abd chat with other neighbors."

    "There are lots of kids in the neighborhood, the supermarket is so close to pick up last minute groceries- a great bakery, coffee shop, Lucky’s of course. The foothills trail is awesome to walk, walk dogs, and play by the lake. And the pool and tennis courts are so much fun!"

    "I have lived in North Boulder for 30 years- Wonderland Hills and Dakota Ridge, it has always felt safe here. My children attended Boulder Public Schools, I give the schools an A+! We live a convenient short distance to restaurants, grocery stores, schools, and shopping, ...friends hang out at our house and tell me I’m a great baker of Chocolate Chip Cookies! I love to send them home with cookies or fresh dough to bake cookies with their own families! You should bring your kids to our house on Halloween, what a treat! I walk to Pearl Street by way of Foothills Trail, through beautiful neighborhoods apple orchards, Mt. Sanitas and am fascinated by the rock formations. I bicycle many days a week and many miles, such a perfect location to start from and end up! It’s a family and friends tradition to do the Bolder Boulder on the Monday of Memorial Day weekend, so fun! I have been taking it easy for a while due to some physical injuries, but continue to build up my strength and stamina walking my dog, climbing and hiking - I get a great workout! Here’s a tidbit! Keep your dog on leash and clean u"
