I am a sophomore in the band program at mesa high. I would like to say I enjoy this school but there needs to be some updates. The school board focuses on student athletics, don't get me wrong but there are so many other great programs at this school, for example, our clubs, the performing arts program, our AP classes, our FAFSA program, etc... But here's the thing teachers are great, except the students, but the board does not. I will say that I was not doing ok mentally but we have our awesome social workers, and they will help. This school also helps with getting college credits early WE have the ACE program and many dual enrollment classes. One thing I wish they did is to give the band a senior poster, because other schools do it, all of the sports have senior posters, so why can't we? The seniors put in lots of hard work for what they do. The teachers here are great I just wish the school board would focus on other things than sports. They need to acknowledge some students, not the student body.

Terrible school. Getting a meeting with the principal is so hard, you have better luck winning the lottery than to get an appointment with arbo. She allows bullying, said kindergarten students dont deserve a graduation ceremony because they haven’t accomplished anything and that her daughters didn’t have a ceremony and became outstanding adults. A substitute teacher spanked a kindergarten student and she allowed it, didn’t do anything about it and still allowed the sub to come back to sub for the same teacher! Getting the teachers to respond is sooooo hard unless they need something (donations)

I’m a former student. I was bullied until I had to leave. Most of the teachers are good, but some of them engaged in the bullying. DO NOT go here.
