Mesa High School

I am a newcomer to Arizona, but this school has really helped my family build roots here. Teachers line the halls and welcome students each and every day. The teachers are passionate about teaching and my daughter’s kindergarten teacher from three years ago still attends birthday parties and celebrations. We feel very lucky to have such a supportive and inclusive school in our community. I strongly urge other parents to think about Harris Elementary as an option for their children. At this school your child has the potential to learn and grow and families have the luxury to be part of a loving community.

All three of my kids have attended/still attending Franklin Accelerated Academy East and this school has always exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful how quickly our kids learned to read, and are excelling in almost all subjects. The teachers are mostly all amazing and care for the students.

Some of the teachers here are really wonderful however others don't treat the children very good at all. I've noticed that some of the teachers here talk down to the kids and don't treat them with kindness at all. Seems as though they very much have the mentality that children should be seen and not heard. My kids complained on several occasions that the teachers would raise their voice without reason, sometimes so loud they explained being frightened by certain teachers. Also I had called and requested my child be seen by the school counselor and my daughter said they never followed up. The bullying at this school is not taken seriously at all and often times is brushed off and the bullied kids walk away from situations feeling like they are at fault. I can't wait for the year to end to not have anything else to do with this school.

My experience with this school was a nightmare, the principal acts like a white savior and the front desk ladies are incredibly incompetent. The teachers are so evil, they don’t care about their safety, and kids with learning disabilities are pushed asides either no real help.

I must say that the drop off feels very unsafe to be having elementary kids. Staff does their best to address this, but it still doesn't remove my fear fro my Kindergartner. Unfortunately my kid hates school now and has had many issues making friends and opening up about her days in school. Her teacher does do her best but i feel maybe she has too many kids assigned to her for a kindergartner teacher. They do address my daughters second language barrier and she has been able to overcome it and catch up with her class. The environment does not feel great for my kid either. Only some of the playgrounds have shade.

Teaching is great . The teachers are amazing when they respond to messages or call back on time. Besides that , everything else is HORRIBLE . Ive been taking my children here for three years , and each year safety just gets worse and worse . And noone cares . There is a lady who sits up front on the right side and she called me to verify where my children were suppose to go , and she still sent my 5 yesr old KINDERGARTEN DAUGHTER to the main street . I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR CHILDREN HERE .

Robson will call the police on your children for for no reason and also not call u to tell you and punish your child the whole day. Also the police will call u later to tell u about it even tho they did not and the police will let u know they should not have called and your child did nothing wrong. Most of the teachers and staff at this school are first year staff with no experience and a lack of knowledge. keep your loved ones away.
