Lo que dicen los locales sobre Downtown

En inglés
  • Christopher Casazza
    Downtown, Troy
"It’s a cute little downtown and there are wonderful examples of intact 19th century architecture and nice local businesses and restaurants. It probably just needs to continue to clean up and get some more population. It’s just a little empty when schools are not in session."

"Not a lot of green space to walk your dog and too often I find that not enough dogs have been picked up after relieving themselves."

"They are so many fun places and things to do downtown. I enjoy rocking by the river, the farmers markets and library. plus there's a million different restaurants. I love the hole in the business whether it's food or nick knacks.. Your ten minutes away from everything(if you drive) and on of the major buses come through here. plus this taxi company. As far as the school district I didn't like the public school in the area just by the first impression the faculty left and reviews. The fire department, police department and hospital are close by as well. "

"Unless you work a 9-5 job Monday through Friday, parking will be a nightmare. A lot of streets are metered (pay the meter or pay for the ticket you’ll get later), and those that aren’t are still only 2-hour max parking - not at all ideal if you’ll be home during the week."

"They’re are big parks to take your dog to run around safely. I would not advice letting your dog off a leash in certain areas. "

"Downtown does have its own issues with crime. I would trust a well adjusted teen or adult to navigate the streets alone but a grade school child should be accompanied and spoken to about the potential dangers. "

"Lots of walk ups make dog ownership in this neighborhood a bit of a hassle. And there are not many places where grass is cultivated."
