"Safe neighborhood, 24-hour security, local traffic only. Active homeowners association succeeds in maintaining an vibrant, well-maintained, and family-oriented community. Properties are the best value in New Orleans and have increased value over time. 10-minute drive to the CCC, which will be faster once the complete resurfacing of General DeGaulle Dr. is complete in October 2014. Enclosed neighborhood with only two entrances/exits, but close to shopping and entertainment. Bird sanctuary is the centerpiece of a leisurely environment in which neighbors walk, run, cycle, and walk dogs. Tall Timbers is also a garden community where the Tall Timbers Garden Club regularly recognizes residents for enhancing the appearance of their community. "

"Tall Timbers has an excellent security team and very little crime in our neighborhood therefore. We have a small park and bird sanctuary in the center of the development near the elementary school where community events are held such as night against crime and Easter Egg rolls. There are many children in the neighborhood."
