"Walking down south first is not peaceful... kind of stressful. A lot of bike thieves around, but other than that, no issues. "

"It’s a last vestige of old south austin. It’s not as gentrified as nearby Bouldin Creek. People are nice and the access to freeways is some of the best in south Austin"

"The area is mixed use of duplex's and single family homes. There is lots of foot traffic through the neighborhood but lacks sidewalks except for the main roadways (Oltorf/S. 5th/Cumberland Lane). The area is rapidly being converted to a sort of art/deco neighborhood. Probably in the next 10 years there will be more homes that are rehabed as the original owners pass on or sell. The taxes in the area are varied. "
