my kids go to Bottenfield and we have had nothing short than an amazing experience, the staff is so engaged and everyone knows everyone. i do with there were more holiday programs available for the kids, it was sad that I didn't get to see my kindergarteners do any kind of holiday musical program or anything. other than that i have no complaints, my kids are happy and smart and love their school.

We moved to this school from out of state and this school is amazing. We have Mx. Smith and Mrs. Beckett and they have both been amazing teachers. I have never had a parent teacher conference with such a detailed report and recommendations on what areas our kids need to work on. They really go above and beyond here. We couldn't be happier!

What is so unique and lovely about Kenwood is the small family-like environment. A lot of the teachers and administration have been around for a long time and they all know all the children. You get the feeling that everyone is watching out for your kid starting from kindergarten and I love that they already know them when they get into older grade classrooms. My kids teachers have been amazing at watching out for students at different levels and trying to differentiate their work so nobody is left behind or bored. I’ve appreciated them even allowing some of my kids to join other grade level classes for specific classes if they felt that the work would be more challenging and engaging for them. The teachers have reached out to me on their own initiative to try creative solutions to meet them where they’re at with so much thoughtfulness. It’s really a hidden gem. A lot of people don’t like to choose it because they don’t love the neighborhood surrounding the school but it has really been a wonderful place of learning and making meaningful connections for all my kids. We’ve never had issues with bullying either. My older two have moved on but doing fantastic academically and socially.

I'm quite concerned regarding the lack of diversity amongst the teachers at this school. Mrs. Schnelle has only hired caucasian teachers and staff since she became principal. For the student population to be so diverse, I think it's a bit of an issue that more parents should speak out about. The current administration is not trustworthy, supportive, or a good fit for Robeson. I feel that she caters to the richer parents, PTA members, and the caucasian staff more than any other. While black and brown parents and kids get dismissed or targeted by her the most. I've also heard many stories from TA's about them being targeted by her, which is extremely concerning. If you have a black/brown student at Robeson, please check on them daily. Also, The new assistant principal is not very inviting and just stands expressionless in the mornings, doesn't offer any 'Good mornings' to the children getting out of their parents cars, nor the parents. Just stands there being incredibly UNhelpful. Then gets upset when parents stop to get out and open their car doors for their children, but she does not assist in ANY way!! In years past, we've always been greeted, and admin/TA's have opened doors, smiled and welcomed children. This is totally opposite this year. Very cold energy. I absolutely do not feel like black or brown students and parents are supported or even valued here under this administration. I hope that this changes soon, along with the current administation.

If you want your child to be attacked by other students and want your child to watch students attack teachers, then send your child to Westview where they will be trained to be a "wild cat."

I got traumatized by this mess of a school. I am a former student of this school.
